This year YAEF will be held in Washington, DC, a focal point of efforts to end slavery and human trafficking. YAEF 2008 will provide participants with the opportunity to learn more about what modern day slavery looks like and how people are working to stop it. Speakers will include representatives from different denominations and grassroots organizations that work through political channels on Capitol Hill to combat slavery. Through their teachings, as well as through workshops and small group activities, we will have the opportunity to learn about and discuss ways in which we can contribute toward ending this terrible and enduring injustice.
